5 Ways to Calm the Mind

Good Morning beautiful people.

I hope you are all doing well and staying happy and positive. The world we live in can be so super stressful, full on and downright crazy. So to combat that it’s great to have ways in which we can calm the mind.

Here are 5 ways that you can calm your mind practically anywhere:

1: Stretch – Sometimes it helps to just take five minutes from what you are doing and just stretch. Look to Yoga for some lovely ways to stretch your whole body. You may just feel that not only are you calmer but you feel a lot better in general.

2: Mindfulness – Take 5 minutes to just concentrate on one thing. It could be a cup of tea/coffee. Sitting and looking out of the window taking just what you see in. Turn your phone off or on silent for added benefit.

3: Breathe – Take a deep breath. Breathe in for the count of 10, Then breathe out counting back from 10. Repeat if needed.

4: Listen to some Calming music – Turn your phone off and listen to music. Really listen to it. The highs, lows, instruments, words. Concentrating and listening is a great way to calm.

5: Meditate – Sit or lay comfortably, close your eyes and still the mind. Let thoughts come and pass. It can take some practice but once you achieve that stillness it really can be very addictive!

Taking time out to calm down during stressful times is something we do not do enough of. However, it is surprising how much it can make a difference when practiced often. So give it a go and let me know how you feel.
