My Winter Skincare Routine

Good Morning Lovelies,

Today I am talking skincare. The winter is often a harsh time for my skin and recently I have noticed my skin getting much drier than it ever has been.

I have suffered from Eczema most of my life so I am quite good at providing my skin with the appropriate nourishment it needs. Whilst simultaneously testing different products to see how sensitive my skin is to their ingredients.

Last week I went on a bit of a skincare spree. I wanted to try some new products because my existing products just didn’t seem to be holding up. As I mentioned my skin has been super dry and no matter how much I reapplies moisturiser throughout the day it didn’t clear up. So, I decided it was time for a change.

Here are the products I decided on…

*Palmers Skin Therapy Oil with Rose – I only use facial oils during times when I feel my skin needs a little something extra. However, having used Palmers products and loving them previously I thought I would try this one out. This product seems to be very light on my skin and with anti-ageing benefits too it’s a complete winner. After just a few days of using it I have noticed a huge difference in my skin and skin tone.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Anti-Aging Face Care Perfumed with Rose 30ml bottle

*Ponds Nourishing anti-wrinkle day/night cream (I am 30 now so I decided anti-wrinkle was the way to go. Especially as a mum to a spirited toddler) – I have never tried this make of product before so was cautious about using it due to my sensitive skin. However, it has a lovely consistency and so far so good seems to be keeping my skin well nourished. I have been using this cream at night with a couple of drops of the palmers face oil.

*Nivea Daily Essentials 24hr Moisture Boost. – I have always found Nivea to have a thicker and heavier consistency which is great for my skin during winter. Although it’s too heavy for summer months. This cream has the added benefit of an SPF 15 which is perfect as I love to have an SPF in my daytime cream. They smell like they are quite perfumed however, I have never found that to be a problem with my eczema.

*La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm – I saw this fragrance free cream being used by an Instgrammer I follow and after looking into it purchased it to give it a try. I actually keep this tube in my handbag to use during the day if I have any eczema flair ups or dry skin patches appear. So far so good and it doesn’t irritate my skin.

-My Easy Skincare Routine-

1: Cleanse my skin thoroughly of makeup

2: Tone my skin with rose water

3: Apply moisturiser and oil

4: Massage in with fingertips (this helps to massage any tension out that has built up in my face or around my jawline plus it also gets the circulation going).

I am absolutely loving my new products. Teamed with drinking plenty of water which is vital for good and glowing skin I honestly feel like my skin is getting back to the way it was. Dry skin be gone.

What products do you use?

Have a great day.

Love Charlotte x
